Job Description: The Sheetmetal mechanic Lead will serve on a Team maintaining six armed MD530F helicopters of the Lebanese Air Force (LAF) based at Hamat Air Base, Lebanon. The Sheetmetal Mechanic Lead will fabricate, assemble, and install equipment on the MD 530F. Must be familiar with MD 530F technical manuals, technical orders, modification work orders and blueprints. Must have NDI experience and perform sheet metal repairs to the MD 530F and possess an in-depth knowledge of sheet metal materials and repair techniques. The individual must have the appropriate interpersonal skills to mentor LAF personnel and transfer skills and knowledges. The Avionics Electrician Lead will support Mentorship Training Plan to provide mentoring for the continuation of skills and knowledge for the LAF military workforce.This position is contingent upon contract award.Major Responsibility Areas and Duties:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions:Maintain, modify and install the various aircraft sheet metal components.Repair, rework, install and fabricate complex aircraft structural assemblies, both internal and external.Perform checks; carry out NDI inspections and removal of components.Provide assistance to aircraft technicians and mechanics on various tasks.Maintain and keep track of all the maintenance records.Adhere to company policies and safety programs.Maintain supplies and perform preventive maintenance on frequently used equipment. Accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders and other documents from both the customer and BHA to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification.Using detailed knowledge of the aircraft systems and their operation, apply deductive concepts to troubleshoot and isolate defective components.Assist leads with planning, productions, and quality assurance of assigned projects. Assist with the training and development of Technicians.Keep leadership and co-workers apprised of work progress and/or problems.Operate ground support equipment e.g. power carts, Hi-Reach, etc. as required.Interact with MDHI CFSR, the customer and manufacturer in matters that concern the airworthiness of the aircraft, operational readiness of the aircraft and issues related to the troubleshooting of the aircraft's systems.Provide daily mentoring of Lebanese Air Force maintainers.Must effectively interact with Company and customer representatives as well as with representatives of on-site business or military entities.Perform other duties as assigned by the on-site MD530 Mechanic Sr Job Requirements: High School and FAA “A” or appropriate military occupational specialty training required.Associates degree preferred. Technical or military school training preferred.Two years’ NDI experience and ASNT certification (ASNT NDT Level II, III or ACCP Level II, III).Ten years’ experience in airframe repair.FAA Airframe and Powerplant License or EASA/ICAO equivalent required.Two years direct MD 530F experience and working knowledge of Tech Pubs. Solid people skills and the ability to interact and work with a mixed work force and on-site customer and end user.Strong communication skills to support the mentoring program to transfer complex skills and procedures to LAF personnel.Experience with the U.S. Army or other Government contracting agencies.Must be able to brief both internal and external customers.Must have some OCONUS work experience.Armed MD530F experience preferred.Experience in Lebanon [Register to View] Requirements:This position is located at Hamat Air Base, Lebanon, and other locations within Lebanon, such as Hannoush Aerial Gunnery range, as required by the LAF Lebanon. Some travel to conferences and management reviews in CONUS may be required. Work Environment:Contract team will be operating at the Hamat Air Base, Lebanon. BHA will provide life support services such as off-base housing, transportation, and security.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands; and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or sit for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
