Saudi Arabia - Ar Riyad, Riyadh Job Summary The Senior Architect position will suit a candidate with at least 15 years of solid architectural design and consultancy associated with airports and major building design. The candidate would benefit from having experience of the KSA market but this requirement is subject to evaluation of the individual candidates experience.The position is very much an advisory position in regard to use and design of airport terminals - this will require the candidate understands the principles of NFPA, National Building Codes and ICAO "Level of Service" requirements. Additional knowledge of Design management and the RIBA Plan of Work are essential. The Senior Architect must be able to work without supervision and be able to provide detailed reports and advisory directives (In English). Design skills should include the ability to provide sketch details and formative ideas which can be worked up by appointed architects. The candidate must be able to present their views and findings and make Business Case assessments / reports which would allow the GACA representatives to take decisions based on solid costing data. Minimum Requirements Under direct supervision, performs routine duties requiring knowledge of basic engineering principles. Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work. Performs specific and limited portions of broader assignments. Spends large percentage of time performing estimating take-offs and performing walk-downs for quantity tracking purposes, reporting of installed quantities, performing field inspections to verify adherence to design.
