Title: Electronic Tech/Site LeadLocation: Salalah, OmanClearance: DoD SecretProgram Details:Our great client is seeking an Electronic Tech to support the Air Combat Maneuver Instrumentation (ACMI) training systems. The role will be onsite in Salalah, Oman supporting the US military’s fighter jet training program. Job Summary: Responsible for various maintenance and installation tasks including but not limited to all CWTS equipment. Under routine supervision, operates most electronic test equipment, performing complex tests, troubleshooting and repairs of assemblies and subassemblies per test procedures. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provides lead direction in setting up, installing and initiating the operations and servicing of equipment at a field site.Identifies and analyzes equipment malfunctions and utilizes various maintenance and repair manuals, test equipment, wiring diagrams, schematics, electronic devices and electrical equipment.Rework, repair, test, troubleshoot and maintain equipment. Able to give verbal and/or written instructions to subordinates.Maintains records of all maintenance activities in accordance with contractual requirements.Assist other site engineers in solving unusual problems in the hardware.Perform general maintenance of all installed equipment.Perform technical and semi-technical tasks not always electronic in nature.Build cable assemblies and PCB’s as required.Perform other related duties as required.Provide operational support accompanied by hardware and software maintenance of the Kadena Airborne Instrumentation (KAI)Operate and Maintain micro-mini and personal computer systems.Requires experience with UHF/SHF Transceivers and a strong background in micro-processing techniques.Will require interaction with users on a daily basis in direct support of user operational requirements.Assist in identifying and analyzing malfunctions in operational equipment.Consult with company engineering sections to determine solutions to unusual problems encountered during operations and maintenance.Provide or assist in other related duties as required, including scheduling, logistics, quality performance monitoring, etc.Minimum Job Requirements: Two- year degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical or military education plus four years experience. Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics and use electronic tools and test equipment. Ability to comply with the company standard practice as it applies to field assignments. Ability to travel and adapt to a remote and/or a foreign environment. Secret, or higher, security clearance with a background check performed is required
