Wood is currently recruiting Offshore Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Offshore Maintain Potential Program (OMPP) in Al - Khobar, Saudi Arabia OMPP is a multi - year, multi program venture covering both greenfield and brownfield offshore projects here in Saudi Arabia the scope of this program includes Engineering & Design, Procurement and Construction Management
Establishes detailed designs and performance specifications to fulfill the requirements of assigned general specifications for components, systems, processes, etcPlans and carries out successive steps and handles problems with general guidance from instructions, policies, and precedentsResponsible for meeting discipline cost and schedule requirements in production of deliverables, coordinates own work schedule, and prepares progress reportsRecommends changes in plans and estimated cost when necessaryDevelops a range of engineering deliverables, including specifications, calculations, reports, technical requisitions, and othersInterprets specifications and investigates difficultiesReviews vendor documentsActive participation in design reviewsConducts problem solving in expertise: problems involve new concepts and new and varied problems to be solved that demand technical expertise, investigation, and interpretationDevelops alternative solutions, identifies risks and benefitsDevelops solutions to non - recurring problems by appraising, interpreting, and evaluating various precedents and dataExercises professional judgement in selecting and interpreting information and modifying standard methods and proceduresIn consultancy business areas, may deliver small - scale projects with responsibility for cost, schedule, resource allocation and risk, while working within an established program management planProvide technical input and support to proposals as requiredVisit offshore platforms on need basisSkills / Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering / Science or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Discipline10 - 14 years engineering experience with minimum 5 years Offshore experience requiredWorking knowledge of ETAP and SPELMust have thorough knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles calculation methods, international codes, standards, procedures, and specificationsWith mix of experience on standalone and a portfolio project is desirableBrownfield / Greenfield, Study / Pre - FEED / FEED of Offshore ProjectsHave previous Saudi Aramco offshore project experience
