Electrical Engineer Utilities AMP Manager (UAMP) Job Description This position is for an AFCAP proposal request located at the Ali Al Salem Air Base military air base situated in Kuwait, approximately 23 miles from the Iraqi border. This effort is to support the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing (386 AEW. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Basic Job Requirements The Junior Electrical Engineer Utilities AMP Manager (UAMP) must be an electrical engineer. The UAMP shall plan and develop projects for high and low voltage distribution, airfield lighting, fire alarms, cathodic protection and interior and exterior low voltage applications. The UAMP shall also conduct root cause analysis of failing systems, in order to accurately determine the scope of the projects. The Utilities AMP manager shall coordinate and host a quarterly Sub-AMP Working Group, according to The Activity Management Process Operating Instruction. Before start of the PoP, the Utilities AMP Manager shall complete all training required to be a Data Manager for the Air Force SMS, which is currently BUILDER. The UAMP shall perform Quality Assurance on all data entries performed by 386 ECES personnel, to ensure the accuracy of the entries. The UAMP will also complete design reviews for electrical projects, from the Operations Flight perspective. The purpose of these reviews is to ensure that the Operations Flight is able to maintain and repair the completed project.The Utilities AMP manager shall be responsible for oversight and administration of the installations Grounding and Lightning Protection System inspection and maintenance program program, as described in AFMAN 32-1065, Grounding Systems. At a minimum, the UAMP shall ensure inspections are performed IAW Table 1 of that instruction, maintain up-to-date records of all inspections performed and their results, and develop corrective actions plans for any inspection that achieves a failing result.
