Job Description TAX Free Contractual Job Opporutnity has just been made available for an experiencedDrilling Engineer to be based in Qatar by an oil and gas industry leader.This position is responsible for covering the planning, program preparation and execution of drilling and workover operations within DW team. As part of the drilling engineering team, you will deliver program preparation and operational support on new and existing wells.Working on multi-disciplinary topics, you will ensure drilling programs, program amendments and derogation to company referential are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed.Commitment to HSE, Golden Rules and Incident Free - act as leading example and contribute.The job holder is responsible for delivering high quality well engineering in the context of a large and complex brownfield and of a multicultural standalone company.With highly fractured formations/reservoir, total loss zones and smart completion services requirements, ensuring that wells will be delivered safely and economically is a major driver for operational success.Efficient coordination of services companies personnel and equipment and quick implementation of lessons learned is required.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREDBachelor's in Engineering Degree, (Master's preferred)5-8 years Drilling & Well Engineering experience, with minimum 2 years rig site operational experienceExcellent English language skills (written and spoken)Experienced in well planning using Landmark Suite (Compass™, WellPlan™, StressCheck™, Casing Seat™)Experienced with MS Office suiteExperience in creating and delivering quality presentations to management, shareholders and regulatorsCompetence in use of reporting software WellView™Valid IWCF Well Control Certification (Level 4), or competency for qualificationValid OPITO™ approved Sea Survival, H2S and Fire-Fighting Certification, or competency for qualificationWith over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
