Our client, a major operating company in Qatar requires a Piping, Valves & Vessel Engineer to join on contract in the Major Projects department. Major Projects involve the development of new offshore platforms, integration to the existing facilities, installation of subsea pipelines, debottlenecking of existing functions, all these activities could be executed across several international sites. The main accountabilities will be to ensure: . Projects Engineering documents are reviewed efficiently, in time. . Projects tasks/studies are well managed as per standards and contractual requirements, with a placement in dues times of proposed deviations. . All the technical interfaces with the design team are correctly managed . FEED meet the organization's safety regulations, reach the quality conformance and are performed within schedule . Project bases of designs are robust and secure the detail engineering phases, construction engineering phase and finally the operation phases. . Engineering dossier (FEED and Detailed Engineering) are delivered with a robust definition aligned with clear bases of design, a consolidated project scope, aligned with the project state of requirement. . Internal and external technical reviews (Project reviews, etc.) are done and completed. . Design of the projects is optimized (CAPEX and OPEX) to obtain a fit for purpose unit: safe for construction, operation, maintenance. . Ensure efficient communication with all other NOC engineering and functional team members. Suitable candidates will have a bachelor degree, or equivalent, in mechanical engineering with a good level of technical understanding of all relevant technical disciplines, with at least 15 years' experience of PVV engineering on onshore/offshore oil & gas project. Strong knowledge in piping components, valves, pressure vessels, PDMS, welding, metallurgy, piping codes (ASME, API, ASTM), . Offshore experience is required . Available for mission world-wide . Familiar with Total general specifications . Language: fluent English . Computer literate . Strong leadership skills and good communication skills . Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environmentDay Rate: Negotiable USD (Worked days only) Monthly logistics allowance: 3750 USD per month Visa, payroll & medical insurance through Airswift as assignment sponsor Contract Duration: Up until November 2023 initially 30 days annual leave unpaid Single status assignment - family visa & medical coverage is contractor cost
