Role description: Maintain and provide consistency across the programme Support the implementation and execution of the Risk, Issue and Opportunity Management Strategy for the PMC. Ensure the quality of the Risk Management process is in conformance with the PMCs established policies and processes. Ensure that the Risk Management on projects complies with programme requirements. Managing and directing the day-to-day activities of the risk management effort on projects to achieve programme and strategic goals. Role accountabilities: Support project teams in the identification, assessment and management of risks during the proposal and project implementation phases. Align the risk management efforts of the internal staff, contractors, and third parties to achieve project and programme goals. Provide support, education and training to build risk awareness within the PMC. Produce monthly project risk assessments/reporting. Facilitate risk workshops and provide support with the establishment and management of risk registers; ensure the quality of risk data, describing and estimating the qualitative cost and schedule impacts. Develop appropriate risk sharing with the SPMs, DPDs and PMO Ensures Risk Management procedures are communicated to all SPMs and consultants/ Contractors, and that they comply with those requirements. Capturing and disseminating risk management lessons learned/best practices back into the programme. Escalate appropriate project risks up through the programme. Through Monte Carlo modelling ensure the project has up to date cost and schedule QRA’s that match those risks in the risk register. Work with SPMs and Cost Managers to assess contingency levels and their management in accordance with the cost management / contingency draw-down principles. Support project teams in estimating the quantitative cost and schedule impacts of risks for Monte Carlo modelling. Assist in developing workplace safety procedures Promote workplace safety standards and procedures Immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents. Participate in workplace safety inspections Assist the safety team in achieving high standards of workplace safety Assist the HSS team in carrying out safety audits Continuously promote and influence a positive safety culture Review and endorse safety procedures and standards Qualifications & Experience: BSE in Engineering, Architecture, commercial or project management 15 years post-graduated experience 5 years of regional experience in the Middle East Excellent communication skills both written and verbal is essential. People management skills. Pro-active and decisive. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work closely with peers and external customers. Able to build appropriate cost, schedule models in a number of applications. Knowledge of the appropriateness and use of modelling techniques e.g. cost impact distributions, qualitative verses quantitative. Risk modelling software e.g. @Risk and PRA. Able to explain the results of risk assessments to non-specialists. Competent with Excel. Knowledgeable of risk management software such as ARM, RiskHive or Predict!. Why Become an Arcadian?
