Reporting to the Director, Partnerships and Engagement, the Strategic Partnerships Senior Specialist is responsible for coordinating the fulfillment and execution of corporate partnerships for university and work closely with the Director, Partnerships and Engagement, partners, donors and internal departments to assist with proper execution of corporate sponsorship.Duties & Responsibilities: This position requires a confident communicator who will manage and coordinate relationships with key partners; provide technical inputs to senior management’s efforts at the country level to develop new and innovative partnerships besides setting and monitoring annual priorities, goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Partnerships and Engagements Directorate.The successful candidate will advise Director, Partnerships and Engagement on the design and implementation of effective advocacy strategies and methods for proactive and strategic targeting of partners and donors thereby providing strategic advice to the Business Unit on building and maintaining partnerships and positioning with potential donors.The successful candidate will manage the development and implementation of differentiated, donor fund-raising strategies, aligned and coordinated with University activities initiatives.The incumbent will develop targeted products and initiatives to mobilize programmatic resources and attract additional donors’ funding and undertake donor studies, research, and other activities to identify funding opportunities; update the resources mobilization strategy as needs emerge.The successful candidate will ensure collaborations with donors to aid in building institutional relationships.The successful candidate will provide technical support to the development of project proposals in line with the UDST strategy and the interest of donors and provide technical support to the Director, Partnerships and engagement in the preparation of missions, meetings and other consultations with donors, including the preparation of notes, briefs and other materials.The successful candidate will gather information on project/programmes pipelines and corresponding resource needs through close collaboration with university- based counterparts and provide regular updates on donor profiles, databases (e.g., contacts management) and donor intelligence to the Director, Partnerships and Engagement.The incumbent will provide technical support in the drafting and review of partner-specific Framework Arrangements and Cost Sharing Agreements and the preparation of brief funding proposals and concept notes, where appropriate.The successful candidate will coordinate with Head, Local Partnerships and Head, International Partnerships for the collection of information and preparation of results-based reports for external constituencies.The successful candidate will identify opportunities for further partnerships to secure additional resources alongside performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.The successful candidate will contribute to the development of knowledge products and mechanisms to effectively position UDST in the region wherever possible and monitor emerging issues that could affect partnerships and resource contributions at the national or international levels (risk management).QualificationsEducation and Certifications:Bachelor’s degree in a Business Administration requiredMaster’s degree/Professional certification preferredExperience:Minimum 6 years of experience in admissions coordinationLanguage:Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic language required.Other Required Skills:Highly resourceful individual with analytical thinking and critical thinking skills. An expert in relationship building along with excellent time management preferred. Stakeholder management, teamwork, quality, diligence and service excellence should be the strong attributes.
