Key responsibilities:Active contribution to the development of the equity portfolio by building and developing a strong pipeline of investment opportunities in local markets across the MENA region, and beyond Leading role in all aspects of the investment cycle from origination, initial eligibility screening, on-site due diligence to investment proposal drafting, presentation to senior management and independent investment committee, deal structuring, and portfolio company monitoringActive role in legal discussions with potential partner institutions, from formulating initial terms and conditions, to support in drafting and negotiating complex legal agreementsSupervise financial analysis and modelling exercises, and support in developing talent in the teamLiaise with partner institutions, engage in strategic dialogue with sector stakeholders, and continue to develop and deepen the company’s network of external contactsClosely work and coordinate with colleagues in risk, legal, strategy, technical assistance and transaction management teams, as well as external service providers to implement transactionsSupport in high level strategic discussions including funding, and fund structuring, and in representing the company at conferences, workshops and other relevant events What we expect: University degree in economics, finance or business administrationSignificant relevant work experience, preferably in Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, and Management Consulting or in a development finance environmentInterest to develop, or experience in, the Green economy (energy efficiency, circular economy)Strong financial modeling experience, and solid understanding of valuation methodologies, and financial statements – prior experience in assessing financial institutions would be an advantageAdditional experience in assessing microfinance institutions, leasing and factoring companies, fintech ventures, or in the agricultural or low-income housing financing sectors would be an assetProven track record in complex project management, and negotiating legal agreementsExcellent written and spoken English and ArabicHigh client relationship management skills, strong team-orientation, coupled with an open and engaging communication style and inter-personal skillsAttention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesProfessional experience with Excel and PowerPointCommitment to development finance, impact investing, and responsible financeDemonstrable commitment to Finance in Motion's vision/mission What you can expect: An agile, widely diverse international working environment with over 50 nationalities who are keenly interested in making a positive difference through their work and who share a collaborative, can-do spiritA job that allows you to fully utilize and expand your skills within an innovative, hands-on company cultureA purpose-driven, performance-oriented company that rewards above-average resultsAn organization dedicated to providing effective training and upskilling to its employees
