Are you an experienced consultative sales professional that is looking for a new challenge?About the RoleThe Solution Sales Manager, Africa is responsible for driving sales and account penetration of our research reference content on Science Direct in the territory of Africa.You will work closely with account managers and customer consultants to analyze the territory opportunity, drive sales against new business targets and build lasting relationships with our customers in the academic and government sectors. The role is to be based in South Africa or Egypt. ResponsibilitiesAchieve sales targets and grow account penetration in the Africa region.Collaborate with regional sales teams to develop targeted sales plansDevelop a strong understanding of competitor landscape and be able to successfully position against themNegotiate and close contracts for new salesUncover up-sell or cross-sell opportunities in order to grow total revenue base, pro-actively working with account managers.Manage relationships and engagements with key stakeholders, librarians, researchers, and economic buyers to understand their needsDevelop engagement plans with our customers to ensure successful implementation and adoption of our solutionsSystematically monitor and analyse usage at customer and regional levels against targets, developing mitigating actions where usage is not meeting objectives RequirementsStrong Communication skills in English (French is a bonus)Background in customer engagement and driving customer adoptionEnjoy building successful relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and customersBe able to partner and collaborate across teams to deliver innovative solutions to our customersHave the ability to interpret information from customer analytics reports to utilize a data-driven approach to creative problem solvingTravel across the Africa regionAbout UsElsevier is a global leader in information and analytics, we help researchers and healthcare professionals advance science and improve health outcomes for the benefit of society.
