About the Position:FST Technical Services seeking Senior Estimators for CSA and MEP scope. Candidates with prior experience on mega clean manufacturing projects are encouraged to apply. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Review project plans and specifications and coordinates with the team to confirm complete scope.Support vendor and subcontractor solicitation, pre-qualification and coordination of pricing.Review subcontractor and vendor bid packages.The Senior Estimator will be responsible for the complete estimating effort for assigned projects, including the following:Organizing the Quantity Survey and Pricing for all material and equipment requiredReviewing and confirming the accuracy of the QS and PricingDeveloping an estimate of the cost of General Conditions and General requirementsPreparation of Project Tender Approval documents for Executive and Risk Management review (TERA)Preparation and Presentation of Project Estimates to Executive and Client management TeamsPrepare Work Package Estimate breakdowns in conjunction with the Project teamEffectively participate in the project and in team meetings.Identify risk issues and their order of magnitude.Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier information & pricing.Prepare instructions to bidders, bid form and other bid solicitation information as required.Perform and/or manages the quantity survey and pricing effort for internal budgets.Prepare conceptual budgets based on minimal information.Review general conditions, schedule, scopes of work, hoisting plans, site logistics and other exhibits as prepared by Operations.Ensure the flow of project information is maintained and documented.Coordinate technical proposal requirements.Review constructability issues with operational staff.Maintain and communicates data on construction and material cost trends affecting project costs.Analyze alternate means and methods to determine the most economical alternative.Build effective relationships with customers, design team, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectations.Actively participate in industry, client and community relations to enhance company image. Participate in the transfer of information on successful projects including the Job Kick-off Meeting.Assist in the preparation and review of work plans.Support Project teams in evaluation and Pricing of change impacts.Mention junior staff members.Institute and develop best estimating standards and technologies, including BIM and Schedule integrationInvestigate and recommend the best industry standard estimating technologyOther Duties as assigned.
