Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.Responsibilities:KLA is seeking a motivated individual for an engineer lead position in a world-class algorithm group within the reticle product division (RAPID). The person will:Work on most advanced imaging systems on KLA’s state of art inspection platformsLead a team in delivering novel modeling, defect detection, and optimization algorithms balancing sophistication and computational complexity through comprehensive data analysisBring forward creative ideas, develop production code, and support and mentor team membersEngage directly with system, optics, sensors and HPC teamsInteract with other specialists and leaders in project teamsQualificationsMaster or Ph.D. in Applied Math, EE, Computer science or related fieldSignificant work experience is required in any of the following: image processing, optical modeling, computational imagingAlgorithm development with C++ & Python in Unix/Linux environmentProven leadership or mentorship within a team of engineers delivering projects with a multiple-person-year scope is preferredFamiliarity with the following is a plus: machine learning and deep learning, linear and nonlinear optimization techniques, and data analysis and visualization toolsMinimum QualificationsPhD + 5 years of experience, or a Master's degree + 8 years of experience and accomplishments.COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required where permitted by law.
