Overview eggXYt is seeking an ambitious & strategic business professional to be our next Chief of Staff. eggXYt is revolutionizing the livestock industry through cutting edge science. Our flagship product is a chicken sexing solution for the egg industry, which will save 4 billion male chicks from unnecessary incubation and maceration every year, combining animal welfare with economic efficiency. eggXYt is backed by significant private and public funding.Our incoming Chief of Staff will work directly with the CEO to ensure that company projects are on track, to serve as a thought partner for complex business decisions, and to be the CEO’s extra pair of eyes, ears, and hands for all projects that fall into the CEO’s domain. The Chief of Staff will also work closely with the Director of Business Development. This position is ideal for someone looking to break into an agritech/biotech startup at an early stage, and the role will provide ample opportunities for growth as the company quickly matures.Responsibilities:– Run a Daily Standup meeting with the CEO to review the status of big picture initiatives and strategize how to accelerate them.– Manage the CEO’s email inbox, striving for inbox zero.– Participate in all meetings which the CEO attends and be responsible for writing and distributing meeting summaries and following up on action items.– Manage the calendar of the CEO, by making sure that he is prepared for meetings, being apprised of his schedule, and resolving conflicts on the go. Scheduling is done by the executive assistant.– Assist the Director of Business Development, which may include creating financial projections, marketing materials and/or fundraising materials, grant administration, and managing the new product pipeline.– Manage eggXYt’s social media presence.– Manage eggXYt’s PR initiatives and general communications.– Evaluate opportunities, such as grants, competitions, and networking events and manage the application process.– Manage investor relations, by preparing board meeting materials, quarterly newsletters, and ad hoc requests.Requirements:– B.A. in business, economics, or another field of social sciences. Impressive academic record. – required– Native Level English speaker or ability to speak and write at an academic/professional level. – required– Project management skills and a natural inclination to create processes over chaos.– Detail oriented and execution focused.– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.– Ability to speak truth to power.– Functions well in a team environment as well as working independently.– Passionate about agritech/foodtech, animal welfare, and/or sustainability.
