In this role, the successful candidate is to develop and administer sales planning & effectiveness plans and processes to increase market share, sales volume, effectiveness and efficiency of the sales function, and enhance sales and marketing standards in line with business needs and objectives, DPDHL guidelines and policiesKey Responsibilities. Execute sales planning and effectiveness processes. Undertake initiatives and activities across various areas of sales to increase effectiveness of the sales function. Study and understand business, competitors and customers to identify information needs. Work with external research house to achieve data integrity and generate analytical study from available sales database. Analyze and verify product availability in the plant/ factory in accordance with orders placed by the sales force. Prepare analysis reports for the sales planning/information managers. Maintain a full and high level of customer data quality. Support sales management with appropriate reporting tools and impart training on new technology. Manage sales system and database to ensure efficient and accurate data processing. Provide input for budgeting and sales incentive program design. Prepare adequate and timely materials to support front line sales teams in sales cycles. Periodically analyze the sales channels and sales organization to explore opportunities for optimization cost of sales. Undertake audits of sales processes, competencies and performance. Schedule and execute sales training and coaching programs to raise current skill levels of sales management. Often explain facts, practices, policies to both internal and external parties, sometimes use influence to convince others who have a desire to reach agreement to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. Identify problems that may not be clear in own area of authority and modify work methods accordingly without the benefit of defined proceduresManagement Responsibility. Individual contributor who may manage two or fewer employees. May direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs.
