Job Description and Qualifications POSITION SUMMARYPrepare complete plan for TA from scope development, estimating, scheduling, thru final field execution. TA contractors. Coordinate with engineering, inspection, and operations for the turnaround work scope. Lead and manage multi-disciplined field contractors a detailed implementation plan of pre - turnaround, turnaround and - post-turnaround work. Validate and approve contractor a schedule, manpower and equipment. Manage TA team in developing and providing competent, cost effective and timely TA’s. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate and ensure that all TA’s/Major Shutdowns activities and work orders are implemented in an effective manner and in compliance with quality, cost, schedule and health and safety standards.Manage and track actual execution of Turnarounds/Major Shutdowns against plan, recommended changes. Ensure that all work problems, issues, and disputes that might arise during the execution of TA’s/Major Shutdowns are effectively solved in coordination with all concerned parties. Participate in developing TA’s/Major Shutdowns critical path, activity logic, resource levelling, estimated budget and expected outcomes. Assist in managing and coordinating TA tendering and contracting activities, such as attending pre-tender meetings, answering questions, evaluating, and awarding tenders. Prepare TA annual budgets, cost projections and budget proposals and report the same to Turnaround Superintendent for review and approval. Ensure that TA/Major Shutdowns processes and procedures are properly followed and continuously improved and coordinate with all concerned stakeholders to ensure that all required resources are available and ready to execute the work. Track contractors KPI’s and prepare periodical reports with recommendations on contractor’s compliances. Read and understand technical manuals, mechanical diagrams and machinery drawings and apply the knowledge to carry out maintenance and troubleshooting tasks, to prepare for the mechanical maintenance to machinery in the TA. Perform any other duties which the line manager may require to be carried out.Needs to work closely with Mechanical Supervisor, Engineers and Supervisors in Maintenance section, Operations TeamEnsure safety of all TA personnel by utilizing the JIGPC basic safety standard procedures. The position is a key member in building safety culture in JIGPC ComplexSKILLSPractical Knowledge of relevant plant like Gasification plant, Soot Ash removal plant, Hydrogen recovery plant and Acid gas removal plant. Practical Knowledge of construction and maintenance of relevant plant equipment like Gasifiers HRSG, RO vessels, Valves, Heat exchangers, Compressors, pumps, expanders, pressurized systems, Piping and welding techniques…etcPractical knowledge of mechanical maintenance principles including but not limited to PM, CM, CBM, PdMAwareness of HSE & quality standardsTeamwork and effective collaboration skillsProven track record in managing similar scope Shutdowns or Turn Around EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCENational Diploma or associate bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing Turn Arounds in a petrol - chemical environment (Team Lead).COMPETENCIESAdaptabilityMaintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
