Job Description: Performs Crash, Fire and Rescue responses, duty andtraining as well as structural fire response duties and training as part of acrew. Perform hazardous materials responses, duties and training at theOperational level. Primary team memberto respond to medical emergencies and administers basic life support asrequired in medical emergencies and fire and rescue response. Is responsiblefor daily operational maintenance of his equipment and vehicle. Duties/responsibilities: Expert knowledge ofstructural rescue and firefighting techniques, practices and equipment. Skilled in the use, monitoring, and managementof emergency medical treatment equipment and devices associated with emergencymedical treatment of personnel. Considerable knowledge of the design andcharacteristics of military and civilian rotary wing aircraft. Considerable knowledge of exit and safetyprocedures of various military and civilian rotary wing aircraft, andstructural fire/alarm detection/suppression systems. Ability to quicklyperform all functions in difficult and hazardous situations, withouthesitation, and with little or no direction from superiors. Ability tocomprehend and apply instructions and communicate information in a clear andconcise manner. Ability to learn andapply aircraft rescue and firefighting techniques and practices. Ensures hisequipment is ready to respond to all requests for emergency services (fire,EMS, special rescue).Prioritize supportrequirements to handle multiple simultaneous medical and fire emergencies.Serve as a mentorand trainer to assigned Ministry of National Guard MOS 12M Firefighters.Conduct facilityfire safety inspections-risk assessments.Maintain adequateresources and ensure they are maintained in proper operation and in a missionready state at all times. Must meet the physical requirements necessary to safely andeffectively perform assigned duties. Ability to performphysically demanding work and withstand very hazardous conditions. Willing tomeet grooming standards to allow for wear of respiratory protection equipment.
